Terms of Use
Last updated September 5, 2026. Short, and in plain language, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
What this covers
These terms apply to this website. They do not govern work we do for clients. If you are an Apex client, the agreement you signed controls, and where these terms and that agreement disagree, the agreement wins.
The information here is general
Everything published on this site, including articles, service pages, and the IT risk check, is general information about technology and security. It is not an assessment of your specific environment, and it is not legal, financial, or compliance advice.
Security decisions depend on details this website cannot see: what you actually run, how it is configured, who has access, and what you are obligated to protect. Please do not treat anything here as a substitute for someone actually looking at your systems.
About the IT risk check
The risk check scores the answers you give it. It does not scan anything, connect to anything, or verify anything. A good score means you answered well, not that your environment is secure, and a poor score is a prompt for a real conversation rather than a diagnosis. It is a starting point, deliberately.
Our content
The writing, design, graphics, and logos on this site belong to Apex Tech Solutions. You are welcome to read it, share links to it, and quote it with attribution. Republishing substantial portions as your own is not okay. If you want to use something here, ask us; the answer is usually yes.
Links to other sites
We link to third-party sites where they are useful, including vendors, standards bodies, and news sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or what they do with your information once you are there.
What we do not promise
We work to keep this site accurate and available, and we will correct mistakes when we find them or when you tell us about one. That said, we cannot promise the site is error-free, always online, or current at every moment. Technology and regulations both move, and a page written in good faith can go stale.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Apex Tech Solutions is not liable for losses arising from your use of this website or from reliance on general information published here. This does not limit any obligation we have taken on in a signed client agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about this website will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Fannin County, Texas.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the updated version is posted here with a new date at the top.
